HACCP at TINE – turning risks into operational food safety measures

Avoiding fraud and defending food in an international context

International food fraud has got a lot of attention due to severe cases in the recent years. In Denmark the national and international activities in defending food and avoiding fraud is organized in the Food Inspection Task Force – a part of the Danish Veterinary and Food Administration. This flying squad conducts inspections that are similar to criminal investigations. The Task Force investigates illegal establishments, unlawful slaughter practices and the like. The Head of the Unit, Michael Rosenmark, is a former police officer and he will give some insights in some of the cases from the recent years.
